VARIS made wooden construction sets and building blocks in Latvia, until production closed a few years ago. The construction sets lock together, built to be taken apart and built again as something else.

They were made in Rencēni by a family company that started in 1988 and spent its first ten years making general wooden goods. Around the year 2000 they used what they had learned to design a set of their own, and it eventually gave the company its name.

The pieces are FSC certified birch, a hardwood that takes repeated handling without splitting.
